Function Subtle Grunge & Textures Brushes

We’ve put together a great set of free Grunge & Textured brushes for you to use. The idea with these brushes is that they are to be used to create subtle grunge effects within your designs. We’ve made them from various dirty textures, surfaces and fabrics from images taken ourselves.

Details of the Pack

All of the brushes have faded edges, so they are perfect for creating edges, masking, and and organic patterns & backgrounds without any straight lines in them. There are 33 in this set, but we hope to be bring you more quite soon. But these should keep you busy for a while.

Examples of Use

Here are two of a possible millions of ways to use these brushes effectively. The set was specifically made for web design projects and work at a similar DPI, but I think they’d be too small for print work.

As you can see they are perfect for being used to add some faint grunge effects to anything.  Great for being used as eraser brushes too, that’s how the text was made, I used the brushes to erase some of the areas of the text to give a really simple but effective grunge/worn look.
