WPBundle: A WordPress Themes Bundle by Function
We would like to Introduce you all to WPBundle, designed and run by us!

For many people, this is the first you’ve heard of this. We’ve not really spoke about WPBundle before, we’ve just had our heads down working hard on it for a few months now. WPBundle is a Bundle of WordPress Themes we’re busy building and we’ve just launched the WPBundle Progress Blog.
What is WPBundle
WPBundle or WordPress Bundle, is as it sounds, a WordPress Themes Bundle, built by Function. It will include 10 core themes, and multiple style variations. We’ll be adding style variations throughout the life of the project to offer you regularly updated designs to work with your themes, as well as core fixes and upgrades. Each theme has its own design style and unique functionality. The idea is that the bundle will give you the chance to have a theme for any kind of site and style.
The Bundle will contain all sorts of extra treats, not to mention one massive set of icons that we’re designing especially for the set.
A Video Overview.
We’re giving you the chance to pre-order the themes, or just back us and show some support, so we’ve launched WPBundle through KickStarter. We made a video for this, which is a quick run down of what we’ve got planned.
Open Source Code
We’re going to be opening our code up to the public completely open source. The code behind our projects will be available to anybody to see, edit and tweak. We’re hoping to encourage community input and improvements as well as show our support for the WordPress community. On top of this anyone who purchases our themes will do so under GPL, giving them unlimited access to use the themes over and over again without restriction. We’re just trying to make the Bundle as easy and useful as possible.
Follow our Progress
While we build the themes, we want you to stay as involved as possible, which is why we’ve launched the Progress Blog. This is where we will keep regular updates as the Bundle is being finished off. We’ll also be updating via Twitter if you’d like to follow our progress that way.
Pre-Order & Back our Project
The WPBundle site is currently a progress blog. While we are busy working on finishing up the themes we’ll be releasing screenshots and updates for you to explore. On top of this we’re opening up the development process a little further to anybody who pre-orders the Bundle for $80.
Backing the project will give you access to receive the bundle a week before anyone else, as well as access to early theme beta’s and demos. In return we’re just looking for some useful and solid feedback and bug reports.
Blog about this
If you’re looking to share this on your blog make sure to check the screenshots gallery, download our logo pack and link back to wpbundle.com. Please try to keep logos and screenshots as they are and try not to distort or modify them.

I am always “scared” with bundles, its usually 1 to 3 that are worth it, and more that are just experiments,
but can be easily convinced when if its documented enough…
good luck

Thanks everyone.
@art - We’re going to be putting our all into each theme. We won’t be making themes just to make up numbers. Each of the core themes will have it’s own specific use, and one that we’ll ensure is useful to a variety of projects.
We’ll be documenting our progress, and even giving backers the chance to have some control over some of the themes, so that would help ensure we’re releasing 10, useful and innovative themes.
Thanks for your comment, all the best.

Really nice ! Will users have the right to create new designs that could be integrated afterward ? Or had some features etc …

I’m confused, who is the target consumer for this Bundle?
Webdesigners to help improve project process?
Developers as each theme comes with its own set of function?
Or is it direct to website owners, to help them achieve their own design without the coding knowledge needed?

hmm … looks interesting, looking forward to seeing what you cook up.

@Leannekera - Both! Designers and developers, there’s no reason why designers wouldn’t enjoy some variety in theme functionality for them to design around. Developers would make use of the functionality, but hopefully they too would appreciate the quality of the designs.
Either way, it’s a great starting point for designers and developers - and still be something that you could use “as is” without any modifications, it’s really open to anyone of any skill level.
Hope that clears it up somewhat. Thanks.
